Egypt's Heartland: Regional Perspectives on Hierakonpolis, Elkab and Edfu - July 18, 2019, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford

From Predynastic to Ptolemaic times, the sites of Hierakonpolis, Elkab and Edfu exerted profund political, religious and artistic influence on Ancient Egypt. This one day colloquium presents the results by a number of fieldworkers in the area, including Wouter Claes, Rob Demaree, Aaron de Souza, Vivian Davies, Renee Friedman, Liam McNamara. It also includes a special evening lecture by Nadine Moeller, DDirector of the Tell Edfu Project.
